Wealthy/Poor Food

The romans ate one large meal a day. (Breakfast)if it was eaten it would be a light meal at best often a singles peice of bread then followed by the main meal of dinner at mid day or a small dinner. Later dinner became a large meal replacing supper and adding a light lunch. For the poor their food consisted of porridge,bread,vegetables and meat (if available). The wealthy had three meals. The first meal had eggs,shellfish,fish,raw vegetables the main course consiste o cooked vegetables and cooked meat depending on what the family could afford. Next was desert usually fruit or sweet pastries.
